Today and every day, we stand in solidarity with muslim women.
Today, more than every day, we take time to question what that looks like.
We are reminded that inclusivity is a bold step, not a small one. That every choice, every retweet, every message we send impacts our state of equality. Impacts our government and their policies. We must seek inclusive answers to our problems. We must honor all as innocent until proven otherwise.
Our country, led by our President, took a bold stand against muslim women this year. By closing our borders, he banned and broke families, lives, communities and aspirations. He shut down the narrative, and put up a wall between our people. Our American-Muslim people. Our immigrants, our families, our friends, our neighbors.
Today and every day, we stand with muslim women. We stand against hatred, bigotry and silence. We stand against our country’s standard of treatment and we stand for one of compassion and inclusivity. We welcome our Muslim sisters. We stand to work harder for all communities of our world’s womyn. For she is worth celebrating!
